It’s been ages since I posted.  I had a problem with my recipe plug in a few months back and after fighting with it for 3 hours, I got frustrated and gave up.  Last weekend I tried again and figured it out in less than an hour, so I’m ready to go now!!!  Continue reading Chinese Cole Slaw

  • 4 Tbsp Soy Sauce
  • 4 Tbsp Seasoned Rice Wine Vinegar
  • 2 Tbsp Sugar
  • 4 Tbsp Grapeseed or Canola oil
  • 2 Tbsp Dark Sesame oil
  • 2 Dashes of Siracha (optional)
  • 2 Cloves of garlic, pressed or finely chopped
  1. Put all ingredients in a mason jar, cover tightly and shake well.
  2. Will stay good at room temperature for 2 weeks.

 

Char Siu Pork is Chinese Barbeque.  Although there is a little ketchup in the recipe, this is not American BBQ.  The soy, hoisin, ginger and 5 spice give it a savory Asian flavor.  Continue reading Slow Cooker Char Siu Pork
